Project Management Jobs
Project Management jobs are usually found within the construction and information technology industries. The project manager job description includes controlling a project from beginning to end. The manager maintains a physical presence for the entire project. He coordinates the work of technical, administrative and financial departments.
Tasks include setting goals, forming teams, mapping a timeline, monitoring progress, breaking work into tasks, creating and adhering to a budget, procuring supplies, facilities, labor and equipment, consulting with the client, fostering communication between workers and management, and solving problems that would interfere with timely project completion.
The salary offered in project management jobs is usually at an executive pay level and often comes with bonuses. A job candidate will be well suited if he has a Bachelor’s degree or certification in Engineering, Computer Science or Construction Management. Skills needed are communication, leadership, decision science, statistics, and cost analysis.
